Boil asparagus 1 min, ice bath, drain, pat dry, place in 9x9 dish.

Melt the butter in the microwave. Stir in panko breadcrumbs and set aside.

Whisk in milk, boil, stir in nutmeg, cream cheese, cheddar, salt. Pour sauce over asparagus.
