Mix your custard ingredients well. Soak the bread for a few minutes.

Preheat pan. Put butter and oil. Cook the bread for 3 to 4 minutes per side on medium heat.

Heat a skillet over low heat, add berries, sugar, and slowly crush the berries. Cook until thick.

Serve two slices of French toast and pile the compote on top of it.
