Healthy Samosa

The perfect, healthy Indian samosa recipe!


– Flour – Water – Oil  – Potatoes – Peas – Spices

Step 1

Start by boiling the potatoes. Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil on a high heat.

Step 2

Prepare samosa dough. Add flour, salt, oil to a  bowl and mix using a fork. Add water and knead slowly into a ball.

Step 3

Prepare the samosa filling. Add the mashed potatoes, turmeric and red chili powder. Add peas and set aside.

Step 4

Folding the samosa. Take the kneaded dough and roll it out into a cylinder. Using a knife, portion this cylinder into  smaller pieces and roll it into a circular shape.

Step 5

Slice this dough diagonally into two pieces. Form a cone and stuff the filling. Add a bit of water to the edge and seal it shut.

Step 6

Option 1: Air Frying Samosa. Place the samosas in the air fryer and cook for 10 to 12 minutes. Flip the sides and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 7

Option 2: Baking Samosa. On a sheet pan, place the samosas and bake for 20 minutes. Flip to the other side and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

Serve with ketchup, a nice aioli or a chutney!
