INGREDIENTS

Prep shiro powder

Roast chickpea flour, berbere spice, ground cardamom, white cumin powder, and garlic powder. Set aside.

Saute onion

In a pot, heat olive oil. Add onion and cook until fragrant.

Add garlic

Add minced garlic and tomato paste and sauté for 30 seconds.

Add shiro powder

Add shiro powder, salt and water. Boin on medium heat. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.

Serve

Serve hot with rice or injera!
