There are many variations for making this at home, but I wanted to share my easy but authentic, traditional naan recipe with all of you so you can make it at home as well!

Add warm water, sugar and yeast to a bowl and mix well together. Let it sit for 10 minutes, until it looks frothy.

Mix flour, yeast mixture, salt, and yogurt. Cover with damp towel and let it rest for about an hour.

Punch out the air and shape the dough back into a ball on your counter. Roll it back and forth.

Portion the dough into six chunks. Place each balls in the same bowl, cover with a towel and let it rest.

Flour your counter and rolling pin. Take one piece of dough and roll it into a roughly oval shape.

Place the naan in the heated iron skillet. Cook for 35 seconds. Flip the naan and cook for 30-45 seconds.

Brush with a bit of butter or add some cheese! Serve!
- Use a HOT cast iron skillet when cooking the naan. - Roll the dough one at a time, right before you put it on the skillet.
