1
clove

¼
teaspoon
kosher salt
adjust to taste
8
slices
white bread
2
tablespoons
fresh parsley
finely chopped, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix butter, garlic powder, fresh garlic, and salt until well combined.
Arrange bread slices on baking sheet. Spread garlic butter generously over each slice.
Bake 7-9 minutes until golden and crispy around the edges.
Garnish with fresh parsley. Let cool slightly on a wire rack before serving to keep bread crisp.
Notes
Softened butter is key—cold butter won't spread evenly and tears the bread
For extra crispiness, butter both sides of each slice before baking
Don't skip the wire rack—cooling on the pan traps steam and makes bread soggy
Variations:
Substitute white bread with Italian, French, sourdough, or whole wheat
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella or Parmesan over slices before baking. You can also broil on high for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
Add ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes for heat
Mix in 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan to the butter
