Precook Potatoes

Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Add the potatoes to the air fryer and cook for 15-20 minutes.

Prepare the seasoning

Add garlic powder and red chili powder to 3 tablespoons of olive oil and mix well using a fork.

Coat the Potatoes

Pour the seasoned oil into the mixing bowl with the potatoes and coat all the potatoes evenly.

Bake smashed potatoes

Place the potatoes on a baking sheet. Using a fork smash the potatoes softly. Bake the smashed potatoes for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Air fry smashed potatoes

Alternatively, place the smashed potatoes in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
