How to Store Fresh Dill

Dill is a great herb that brightens up any meal. There are six ways of storing dill, depending on how you want to use it.

Bundle it together and place it in a cup of water like a bouquet. This method can help retain its freshness for up to a week!

Bouquet Method

Remember not to wash it. Instead, wash the dill right before you need to use it, this will help avoid wilting.

Refrigeration

Chop the dill and place it at the bottom of an ice cube tray. Then add oil or melted butter. Once frozen, transfer to a freezer-safe bag.

Freezing in Oil

You can simply dry dill by hanging it upside down for several weeks or a much quicker method, dry it in the oven at the lowest setting.

Dehydration

Wash and dry dill, then cut into small pieces. Add a layer of salt to the bottom of a jar. Add a layer of dill, repeat layers until the jar is filled.
